Don’t fear the darkness all around us.  Our light shines brighter in darkness.

In a culture that wants to tell us how to live, we are called to take up our crosses and follow Christ.

God has called us to join in his mission, but sometimes it is hard to stay focused.

Gideon’s triumph quickly turns to sin when his focus changes from serving God to seeking after his own goals.

Gideon is praised for his faith in the book of Hebrews. As we examine his story in the book of Judges, we will see what great faith is really all about. 

We cry out for God to save us. The problem is that we usually have terms and conditions that apply to his salvation.

God often uses the weak and lowly to accomplish his purposes. When you feel down about life, remember that God is sovereign over the details of your life. 

Often we feel that we live in chaos, but God is working in the background and in the details to accomplish His purposes.

God demonstrates His steadfast love in spite of our sin.  Yet, He still has wrath towards our sin.  In Christ, the true King, God’s mercy and wrath are met in the perfect display of love. 

Chaos is what happens when people do what is right in their own eyes, but evil in God’s eyes.  The book of Judges calls us to look to a king who can lead His people to do God’s will.
